Kiniesiology
‘Kinesiology’, or ‘Applied Kinesiology’, is the art of utilizing muscle response testing to reveal underlying physiological,
biochemical, structural, or emotional imbalances. Beginning
in the mid 60’s with the work of Dr. George Goodheart, this modality has
allowed chiropractors and other natural practitioners to find the hidden causes of all types of health
issues. It has been an invaluable
tool for diagnosis and also has a multitude of healing techniques within its
scope that are unique and important.
In the early years it was used to correct muscle imbalances and thereby correct structural faults of various kinds. It was then discovered that correlations existed between the major muscles, the organs and the acupuncture meridians that could be used to advantage by the doctor. It was also revealed that reflex points existed separate from acupuncture points that correlated with the above, and that specific nutritional and emotional imbalances had a direct effect as well.
I use kinesiology to reveal the true imbalances in the body and to help me decide on the best treatment plan for each patient at every step of the way. A patient is never the same visit to visit, week to week, and kinesiology demonstrates this like no other modality. This includes structural changes, nutritional changes, allergies and food sensitivities, even emotional stresses. This is why I rarely have set treatment protocols for specific conditions. Different people need different modalities, have different nutritional needs, different physiologies and may heal faster or slower than the next person. Kinesiology has always been an an extremely helpful part of my practice and continues to facilitate the fastest and best healing.
