                        Tuesday March 6, 2012, 7 - 8:30pm: Meditation 101, A Free Experiential Evening

                        Picture
Most of us don’t live on the beach or go to a spa every single day, but we can use meditation to create the same effect.  Recognizing the need for stress relief and peace of mind in his patients, Dr. Orimenko shares his expertise in a free workshop geared to help you achieve that peace.

Join Dr. Martin Orimenko for an experiential evening in the art and science of meditation. Anyone can meditate. If you can think a thought, you can meditate.

Meditation should not be a difficult. It should not be a chore. It should be effortless and deeply enjoyable. One simply needs the right technique and training. The mind wants a break from so much thinking. The physiology wants to reverse the effects of so many stresses. Meditation does this.

Dr. Orimenko was initiated into meditation when he was 17 years old. He was later initiated into advanced yogic techniques and practiced twice daily for many years. He had a satori or awakening experience at the age of 21.

                        PAST EVENTS:

                        Wednesday November 9th, 7 - 8:30pm: Flower Essence Workshop

                        Picture
Join Rhoni Groff, Certified Flower Essence Practitioner, for this experiential evening at Live Well.  Rhoni believes that Flower Essence therapy can help us remember our truest selves, to take responsibility for our growth, and to be more in tune with the underlying beliefs that can keep us recycling negative life experiences.  Over time, flower essences and vibrational essences create very real and deep changes in one's emotional body and the personality.

During this workshop, you will have the chance to experience a flower essence and to learn about:

                        • The History of Flower Essences,
                        • How Flower Essences help to heal the emotions,
                        • How to create a Flower Essence,
                        • What happens in a Flower Essence session,
                        • Self healing with Flower Essences,
                        • Healing children with Flower Essences, and
                        • Using Flower Essences to bring balance to the mind, body and spirit.  Learn more about Rhoni and the work she does at Live Well by visiting her web page here.

                        Monday April 18th, 7 - 9pm: Meditation & Satsang with Swami Ken

                        Picture
Swami Ken has a long history of devotion and meditation practice, and he tours the country teaching meditation.  Swami Ken and his assistant will be here at Live Well on Monday April 18th to share meditation with the community.  The program is free and will begin at 7pm.  Please join us if you feel inspired to do so, and feel free to invite your friends and loved ones.  It is ideal for you to arrive 10-15 minutes early and to bring a pillow or chair to sit on.

Swami Ken a direct disciple of Sri Shivabalayogi Maharaj, a fully enlightened yogi from southern India.  The Swami was initiated in to tapas by his Guru, which involved meditating for 12 to 16 hours a day in a deep meditative state known as Samadhi. After a number of years his Guru directed him to travel the United States and pass on the gift of meditation to everyone who wishes to accept it.

The meditation workshop involves a 1 hour meditation; the meditation begins by passing on a blessing from his guru to help everyone meditate. This is done with Vibhuti (sacred ash). The blessing is also meant to help you on whichever spiritual path you have chosen (if you continue to meditate daily). After the meditation Swami has a satsang in which he will give a spiritual discourse and take questions. He then will meet with everyone individually to discuss more personal problems or issues and he will bless and give Vibhuti to help with those problems or issues (including health related).

The entire program is free, but he will take donations to help with travel expenses and the maintenance costs of his ashram.  If you would like to know more about Swami Ken, visit his website at swamiken.org or for more information about his guru, visit shivabalayogi.org.
